David Laffar – Director of Golf & Head Professional

PGA Professional and Level 2 Trackman Certified

David joined Crondon Park in 2022 as the Director of Golf and Head Professional after being a member of the club since 2002. He would consider himself an elite golf coach and equipment specialist with experience working with players of all abilities ranging from multiple mens and ladies European Tour players, elite amateurs all the way to beginners. He is a passionate coach who thrives on building relationships and helping golfers improve their skills utilising the latest technology with Trackman 4 launch monitor.

John Bradford – PGA Assistant

PGA Professional

John started his PGA journey in October 2019 after a successful amateur career playing in county and national tournaments, turning professional off +4 handicap. John finished his PGA degree studies in October 2022. He teaches all golfers from beginners to low single figure handicaps. John’s aim is to make the game as simple as possible for each individual and enjoyable at the same time. Utilises GCQuad technology when teaching.

Sam Chipperfield – Assistant PGA Professional

Sam joined the team at Crondon Park in April 24’ after starting his PGA journey in 2020 after six years of service in the golf industry. In the four years training within the PGA Sam has been honing in his skills within coaching with a prominent focus on guiding players of all levels towards their personal goals. Whether you are a beginner or seasoned golfer, Sam is dedicated to making your coaching experience clear, concise and enjoyable. He uses video analysis tools such as the OnForm platform within his coaching so that swing videos can be shared and lessons tailored to your specific needs.

Stewart Rogers – Head Greenkeeper

Stewart has 25 years experience in Turfcare, 15 years in the golf industry, starting from the bottom and working his way to head greenkeeper at two golf courses before joining Crondon Park in September 2017. With many years of experience in the field and commitment to maintaining the highest standards of turf management and course presentation. Stewart works hard to ensure that the course is always in great condition, whether it’s for a weekend round with friends or a major county tournament. Stewart understands that the course is an important part of your membership experience and is dedicated to providing you with the best possible experience on the course.

Hannah Wakefield – Golf Events Coordinator

Hannah joined the Crondon Park Golf Team in 2022. Hannah specialises in event planning and coordination for members and visitors, with a priority to provide you with the best experience possible. Hannah is a key member of the Crondon Team and is dedicated to creating memorable experiences on and off the golf course. Hannah is always on-hand to answer any questions you may have.

Matthew Green – Golf Operations

Golf Operations

Matthew joined the Crondon Park team in April 24. Matthew currently holds a handicap of 1+ intends to commence his PGA studies in the October 2024 intake, with the ambition of becoming a fully qualified coach. His experience in playing golf spans various events, from junior county competitions to those in the US where he attended college on a scholarship. This experience and understanding of the game of golf greatly benefits our members and visitors by the service and knowledge Matthew is able to provide.
